We may collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of Personal Information about you when you use or sign up for our Services. This includes:

Website Information: We collect information about any usage of Services when you use the ShapeScale Website, including your IP address, unique device identifiers, device model and operating system version, mobile network, and web browser type. We also collect information about your activities, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, screens visited, and the page you visited before navigating to the ShapeScale Website.

Newsletter Information: If you sign up for our newsletters, we collect your name, email address, and other information you provide. We use this information to send you updates about ShapeScale, respond to inquiries, and forecast production and shipment numbers.‍

Purchasing Information: When you purchase our products, we collect customer information (such as name, postal address, email address, mobile or other telephone number, birth date, height, weight, and gender), purchase and order information, shipment information (such as delivery address, and billing address), and client care information (such as client service inquiries, comments, and repair history). We use this information to provide products or services to you, process your payment information, arrange for shipping, provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and improve our business.

ShapeScale App Information: If you use the ShapeScale App, we collect customer information such as your email or user ID, and optionally your name, gender, date of birth, race, ethnicity, and height. This optional data enhances the accuracy of body composition and other indices provided by the app. Additionally, we collect anonymized usage data to improve the functionality and user experience of our app and device. We may, in the future, integrate with Apple Health to import health and exercise data to enhance the advice we provide to you. Your mobile app data will be retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. We use this information to provide products or services to you, improve our business, and optimize our app and device.

ShapeScale Device Information: If you use the ShapeScale device, we also collect information about any ShapeScale in your possession, including the device model and serial number, the IP address from which the data is originating, and the device state and usage data, including when you or your ShapeScale device’s other users use the device. We also collect measurement data, including 3D scanning data, which is end-to-end encrypted and securely stored on AWS servers, as well as circumference, volume, and body composition measurements that are securely stored on our backend servers hosted on AWS. We also use AWS Rekognition for facial recognition features within the app.

Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect information about your interactions with our Services. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular, and count visits. Web beacons (also known as “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic images that we use on our Services and in our emails to help deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage and campaign effectiveness.
We gather your personal details when you subscribe to our newsletter, purchase our products, or use the ShapeScale device and/or App.

This includes your name, contact details, and even physical attributes. We use this data to enhance your experience, respond to queries, manage orders, and prevent fraud.
